Although it is a small country, there are a lot of attractions to visit, like the Swiss National Park, the Matterhorn, the Rhine Falls, and its glorious and beautiful cities like Zurich and Geneva.

2. Liechtenstein

3. Savognin

You can also use buses or aerial lifts to get you to its surrounding ski resorts and the Swiss National Park, as well as other cities surrounding Savognin. Savognin is the main village of the Sursés, one of Switzerland’s municipalities. It is a popular tourist attraction, especially during the winter, since it is a great skiing destination. 4. Lugano

4. Jungfraujoch

The only way to get to Jungfraujoch is by train, starting from Interlaken, on a two-hour trip that will leave you breathless with the fantastic view of the mountains and glaciers. While there, you can easily walk wherever you need to go.

Also known as the Top of Europe, Jungfraujoch is one of the main attractions in Switzerland, at 3454 meters above sea level, with its amazing views and snow all year around.

It is between two of the highest mountains in Switzerland, but it is not possible to go higher than Jungfraujoch due to safety reasons. While in the Top of Europe, you can visit the sea of ice, the ice palace and enjoy the beautiful alpine panorama that surrounds this passage.

There are also shops and observation decks you can enjoy as well. Although the visit can get a bit pricey, it is indeed worth every penny you spend.

5. Zermatt

To get to the city, you can use the train, starting from Interlaken. While there, you can only use the minibusses or the funicular to go to the Matterhorn. However, you can easily walk anywhere within the city without getting tired.

Zermatt is well known for being the gateway to visit the Matterhorn and became even more famous due to its car-free environment. The primary language that in the city is German, but over 50% of the population also speaks Portuguese.

The town is charming, and its main attractions are the glaciers and mountains that surround it, with several trails and three different mountains you can visit. The city center is also amazing and very calm, so be sure to check it out while you’re there!

Montreux is a city located near Lake Geneva, as is the home of the Queen Studio Experience Museum since Freddie Mercury lived there for some time. You can also visit the historic Castle of Chillon, take long walks close to the lake, take a boat trip or even visit some very relaxing spas.

10. Basel

You can use the car or the train to go to Basel. In the city, you won’t have any problem walking from one location to the other, but you can also use the bus or the tram to go wherever you want, even if it is outside the city.

Basel is on the shore of the Rhine Lake, with a splendid mountain view surrounding the city. There are plenty of churches and monasteries to visit, and also museums, art galleries, and archives.
